Hack Bulgaria is a hacker school, where we do programming courses, using the flipped classroom model.
We focus on solving interesting & hard practical problems, which develop skills for using the “tools of trade” of the given technology, working in teams & writing good code with tests.
The courses right now revolve around Python, Ruby, Frontend JavaScript, NodeJS, Java, Android and System C.

init Lab is a Hackerspace in Sofia, a place to gather different people with hacker ways of thinking and interesting ideas.

Banker (“Банкеръ”) is a media outlet that for the last 30 years has consistently covered in detail topics related to the economic and financial life, the problems of the business, as well as the political processes and changes in the state. In-depth professional analyses, investigations and commentaries are our trademark.

The first issue of the Banker newspaper appeared on the Bulgarian market on April 12, 1993. In those turbulent times of sudden changes, filled with difficulties, disappointments, but also with many hopes, it made an impression with the idea of not disappointing, especially the ones who were committed to integrity and were open to the new. And it did so by means of only one thing — the power of free speech!

For 28 years the newspaper was printed every Friday in 48 full-color pages. In 2021, the printed edition of Banker was transformed into a digital newspaper (eBanker.bg) and a daily news site (banker.bg).

New Bulgarian University was established on 18 September 1991 with a resolution by Bulgarian Parliament. The Faculty Students’ Council at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (FMI) was established on 01.XII.1999 and is one of the pioneers in student organizations at the faculty level. The foundation of the Students’ Council was prompted by the need to protect and represent the interests of students and doctoral students at FMI in front of university structures such as management, administration, etc. The members of the FSC represent the students in the FMI General Assembly (the local analogue of the Sofia University General Assembly), where we account for 18 to 20% of all members of the assembly. The main goal of the Faculty Students’ Council is to build an environment of mutual assistance between students.

The BulStream team has been recording and broadcasting live conferences, lectures, motivational seminars, awards events, ceremonies and small concerts since 2007. TUES is a secondary school, established in 1988, in the structure of a university, the teaching staff including professors from universities and academic communities. Currently, the school is ranked second in the capital and is, perhaps, the most desirable professional school in Bulgaria.

TUES offers the environment of continuity between older and younger students, and the IT business in Bulgaria is built by graduates of the school, who currently hold management positions at IT companies. Part of the students who graduated from the school are involved in the teaching activity. They want to help the younger generation and give them the opportunity to develop, which they have also received. The TUES Alumni Association is the link between the business and the school. We support the extracurricular activities of the school and, in addition to the hackathon and the open day, we have other initiatives that aim to give additional knowledge and skills on topics that the students recognize from the business side.

Sofia Tech Park develops activities to support start-ups, small and medium enterprises, science, education and innovation.
