The Faculty Students’ Council at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (FMI) was established on 01.XII.1999 and is one of the pioneers in student organizations at the faculty level. The foundation of the Students’ Council was prompted by the need to protect and represent the interests of students and doctoral students at FMI in front of university structures such as management, administration, etc. The members of the FSC represent the students in the FMI General Assembly (the local analogue of the Sofia University General Assembly), where we account for 18 to 20% of all members of the assembly. The main goal of the Faculty Students’ Council is to build an environment of mutual assistance between students.

Cyber Security Talks Bulgaria – a series of free events was launched in Bulgaria in May 2022. The events aim to create a community of professionals, students and enthusiasts in the field by providing a venue and opportunity to share ideas and opinions in a relaxed and open manner, thus maintaining a constant focus on Information and Cyber Security in the country.
